With “ahoys” and “yo hos” the Pirate Party is always a favorite.  Fancy Pant's Sea Dogs and Scallywags Party is no exception.  Little swashbucklers don a black cape and felt hat (marked with the familiar "skull and crossbones" emblem), and can fire their muskets (with sound effects) to protect their treasure bags of gold doubloons. When they are ready to sit down to a little "grub and grog", they can drink from their pirate skull goblets.  Little mateys will also receive a pirate painting project, eye patch, gold hoop earring and tattoos.

PIRATE GAME SUGGESTIONS:

Treasure Hunt - Fill a tub or bucket with sand and mix in several coins.  Give each guest a minute to sift out as many coins as they can find.  Replace the coins after each turn.  The child who finds the most coins in his turn wins.

The Captain's Chair - This game is essentially the same as musical chairs (great if you can get pirate themed music).  Designate the last chair as the "Captain's Chair" (feel free to decorate it accordingly) and the guest who ends up in it is "Captain for the day".

From the Deep Blue Sea -  Divide the guests into 2 teams. One guest from the first team should represent something that you might find in the sea.  Give players from the other team a designated number of questions to try and figure out what the player is. Ex - "What color are you?" - "Do you have fins?"  Give a team a point if their opposition cannot solve the mystery in the allotted number of questions.

Peg Leg Races - This is a variation on the game "Red Light, Green Light", but in this version the contestants compete by hopping around on one leg.  Get creative with the way you tell them to stop and go.  You can use pirate lingo like "Onward sea dogs!" or "Halt you Scallywags!"
